Terms of use
Last updated 4 November 2026
Plain terms for a small app. Installing or using Stash means these apply. If you don't agree with them, don't use the app.
Using the app
You may use Stash on the devices your Apple Account allows, for your own use. Don't take it apart to republish it, sell it on, or ship it as part of something else. The app, its design and its artwork belong to us; the open-source parts inside it, such as Mozilla's Readability, keep their own licenses. Apple's standard license for apps applies too.
What you save
Your links, notes and everything else you put in Stash are yours. They stay on your devices and in your own iCloud, and we never see them (the privacy policy says how). You're responsible for what you save and for respecting the sites you read: Stash opens a page on your device, the way your browser does, to give it a title, a summary and a readable copy.
Apple Intelligence
Titles, tags, summaries and Ask Stash's answers come from Apple's on-device model. They're usually right and sometimes not, so check the source before relying on one; Ask Stash shows which saves each answer comes from.
Tips
Stash is free. A tip is a one-time in-app purchase that says thank you: it unlocks nothing beyond the Hero Supporter badge, and it is not a subscription, so nothing renews, nothing expires and there's nothing to cancel.
A tip follows your Apple Account, so Restore Purchases in Settings ▸ Support Stash brings the badge back on a new device. Payment, receipts and refunds are handled entirely by Apple: we can't take money and can't refund it. To ask for a refund, use reportaproblem.apple.com. Prices are shown by the App Store in your own currency and can change.
If you choose to be listed on the supporters page, the name you enter is shown there until you remove it in Settings.
What we don't promise
The app is provided as it is. We do our best to keep it working and your stash safe, but we can't promise it will be free of faults, or that it will keep working on future versions of iOS or macOS. Keep an export of anything you can't lose: Settings exports everything at any time. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
As far as the law allows, our liability for anything to do with the app is limited to what you paid for it.
Changes and ending
These terms may change, and the date at the top will move when they do. You can end them at any time by deleting the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the publisher's country of residence, without affecting your rights as a consumer where you live.
