Stash keeps the links and notes you'd otherwise lose in chats, tabs and screenshots. It sorts them on your device, reminds you to come back, and finds anything in a keystroke.

Capture

Paste a note.
Keep every link.

Notes and Mail hide links behind words. Stash reads the formatting, finds every link, and lets you keep them as one note or one item each. The ones you already saved are marked.

  • Share sheet, Safari, menu barSave from any app, a button in Safari, or the menu bar on your Mac.
  • Bring what you haveApple Notes, Safari and Chrome bookmarks. Each import is tagged with where it came from.
  • Never twiceThe same link saved again merges into the first one, note and tags included.
Write

Write a note.
It links itself.

Type : and a few words to link anything you saved, narrowed with #tags or site: like a search. Phrases that name a save get a dotted underline, and one tap links them all. A day you mention becomes a reminder, and the mic writes as you talk.

  • Your words, or its titleReturn links what you typed, Tab takes the save's title. Notes link too.
  • Colored by what it isEach link sits on a pill in its category's color. Hover one on the Mac to see the save.
  • Talk insteadThe mic transcribes on your device, the words appearing as you say them.
Sorting

Sorted, before you look

Every save gets a category, tags and a reminder suggestion straight from its link. Then Apple Intelligence reads the page on your device, and can file it in a category you made.

  • Instantly, from the linkRules know recipes, videos, repos, shops, listings and articles, so nothing is ever uncategorised.
  • Your own categoriesMake "Real estate" or "Guitars", give it a colour, a symbol and a line about what belongs there. Stash files into it.
  • On your deviceTitles, one-line summaries and tags come from Apple Intelligence on your iPhone or Mac. Nothing goes to a server.
  • Your edits stayChange a title, a category or a tag and Stash never overwrites it. Undo is one ⌘Z away.
Reminders

Reminded at the right time

Pick Tonight, Tomorrow or This weekend as you save. Stash suggests one for what it is: a short video tonight, a long read at the weekend, a purchase next week.

  • Up next, at the topWhat's due today, and an old link you never opened, waiting first in the inbox.
  • Act from the notificationOpen it, snooze it or mark it done without opening the app.

The case for slow bread

Cookfieldnotes.blog · 7 min read

Most of what makes a loaf good happens while nobody is watching. Flour, water and a spoon of starter sit overnight, and by morning the dough has done the work a mixer never could.

You don't need a schedule, only patience and a warm corner of the kitchen.

The first time I tried it, I checked the bowl every hour, as if staring would make it rise faster…

Reader

Every article,
ready to read.

Stash reads each article you save, on your device, the way Safari's reader would. Summaries and tags come from what the page actually says, search finds the line you half remember, and Read in Stash shows it without the page around it.

  • Search inside pagesFind a save by something in the article, not just its title.
  • Ask from the textAsk Stash answers from the articles themselves, and shows its sources.
  • Kept on your deviceThe text stays on each device, compressed. It never syncs, and nothing goes to a server.

Supporters

Hall of heroes

Stash is free. These people chipped in to keep it that way, and wear the Hero Supporter badge in the app.

Be the first: tip from Settings ▸ Support Stash.

Questions, answered

Is it free?
Yes. Stash is free on the App Store for iPhone and Mac, with no ads and no account. If it earns a place on your devices, you can leave a one-time tip in Settings: you get the Hero Supporter badge, and your name can go on this page.
When can I get it?
Stash is in development and coming to the App Store for iPhone and Mac, as "Stash: Save for Later". It's only on the App Store, so updates come through it too.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 26 and Mac with macOS 26. Your stash syncs between them through iCloud.
Do I need an account?
No. Stash uses your iCloud, the same way Notes and Reminders do. There's no sign-up and no Stash server.
What does Apple Intelligence do in Stash?
On devices that have it, it writes a clean title and a one-line summary, picks tags and a category (including ones you made), and answers questions about what you saved. All on your device. Without it, Stash sorts with its link rules.
Does Stash read the pages I save?
Yes, on your device: it opens the page the way Safari's reader does and keeps the article's text on that device only. That text gives better summaries and tags, lets search find a page by what's in it, and is what Read in Stash shows. Nothing goes to a server.
Can I link my saves inside a note?
Type : and a few words while writing a note to link any save, or let Stash underline the phrases that name one and link them all at once. Each link shows in its category's color.
Can I bring my existing links?
Yes: paste an Apple Note full of links, or import Safari, Chrome and Firefox bookmarks. Each import is tagged with its source.
Can I get my data out?
Any time, as a bookmarks file every browser imports, as Markdown grouped by category, or as JSON with everything.
Can I share folders with other people?
That's next: shared folders through iCloud sharing, with people who can view or add links.
