Stash has no account and no server. What you save stays on your devices and in your own iCloud, and the developer can't see it.
- No analytics, no ads, no tracking, no data sold or shared.
- The smart features (tags, summaries, Ask Stash, reading pages, dictation) run on your device.
- Only if you leave a tip does anything about you reach a service: see Tips below.
What you save
Your links, notes, tags, folders, categories and reminders are stored on your iPhone and Mac, and sync between them through your private iCloud database (CloudKit), under your Apple Account. Apple's privacy policy covers iCloud. You can export everything at any time from Settings, and deleting the app and its iCloud data removes it.
Reading the pages you save
To fill in a title, a picture, a summary and a readable copy of an article, Stash opens the page you saved, on your device, much as your browser would. The site sees an ordinary visit from your device. The readable copy is kept on that device only; it doesn't sync, and you can clear it in Settings.
Apple Intelligence and dictation
Tags, categories, summaries and answers come from Apple's on-device model, on devices that have Apple Intelligence. Dictation uses Apple's on-device speech recognition: the microphone is on only while you dictate, and the audio isn't kept.
Reminders
Reminders are notifications your device schedules for itself. They don't go through any server.
Tips
Tips are in-app purchases processed by Apple; Stash never sees your payment details. If you tip, the app records the purchase with RevenueCat, a service that keeps the list of supporters: an anonymous identifier, which tip, when, and its price. If you choose to be shown on the supporters page, it also records the name you enter, and you can remove it in Settings at any time. The app only contacts RevenueCat if you tip; RevenueCat's privacy policy covers the data it holds.
This website
stashlater.app is served by Cloudflare and loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which see your visit as any website's hosts do. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics.
Children
Stash isn't directed at children under 13 and collects nothing about anyone.
